If you’re looking to speed up your weight
loss results, then the solution may lay with boosting your metabolism levels. Usually
people with low metabolism levels find it hard to lose the weight fast. Not only
that, they’ll also suffer from low energy level and other health troubles.
Without further ado, here are 4
ways to boost your metabolism levels:
Exercise in the morning
According to many studies, people
who exercise in the morning tend to have a skipper metabolism level throughout
the day, thus leading to greeter calorie burn. In addition, if you exercise
first thing in the morning, then you’ll likely stick better with your training
program for the long haul.
Strength Training
Adding a weight lifting session
into your workout program will not only help you look good in those old jeans,
it’ll also increase your resting metabolic rate. See, muscle burns more
calories than fat. As a result, the more muscle mass you pack in, the higher
your metabolism will be as a result.
Eat Frequently
Skipping on meals forces your body
to enter into starvation mode, thus your metabolism levels slow down to a crawl
leading to weight loss plateaus or even gains. Therefore, if you’re looking to
keep your metabolism running high, then you need to eat at least 4-5 meals,
every 3-4 hours throughout the day.
Interval training
According to many studies, interval
training is the best exercise approach for boosting metabolism levels through
the roof. Not only that, interval training—such as doing intervals on the
running track, cycling…--have been proven to be very effective at fighting off
belly fat and improving fitness and endurance levels.
This is so true! Good information!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad eating frequently helps because I am always eating some type of snack!

Are there some simple rules to start off an interval training program for someone who is not familiar with it?
ReplyDeleteWow, simple and easy. I did not need Doctors Degree to understand this.
ReplyDeleteI love this - 4 simple rules. I've been running and doing a CrossFit Bootcamp every Saturday morning (helping prepare for my first Tough Mudder in Sept) for about 8 weeks (running for a lot longer than that though) and have not lost one pound.
ReplyDeleteTurns out my thyroid is completely broken (Hashimoto's) and I'm insulin resistant.
If I needed a blunt force trauma to point out fitness is so much more than just hitting the pavement, this was it.
